The work week is usually busy and filled with constant noise, stimulation, and inconveniences. By the weekend, we finally have time to do what we want to do, but there's not a lot of time for it. Friday the feeling starts to creep up on you, you can sense the exploding energies and people's restlessness to get the weekend vibes started. Friday night could mean going out, staying in, or maybe you work a customer service job. Saturday is really when the real weekend starts. Saturday is when you can sleep in and simultaneously not have to think about tomorrow. These calming animals are sure to help you with that. Serotonin is often used to describe one of the brain's feel good neurotransmitters. Its role is much broader than simply making people happy. It helps regulate mood, contributes to feelings of calm and emotional stability, and plays an important part in sleep, appetite, digestion, and overall well-being. Rather than creating bursts of excitement, serotonin is more closely associated with a quiet sense of contentment and balance. My favorite thing to do on Saturday is like this: I sleep in, I usually sit with my cat a little bit and we bond together. I do a little at home workout with dumbbells and shower, then I have my breakfast (eggs on avocado toast with a salad). Once I'm feeling healthy and happy, I have some rest time, which usually means watching anime (with my cat of course). Then it's my Saturday ritual to visit my friend in a second hand clothing store. He's an artist who also sells clothes there. We have a drink and then I come home to my boyfriend to make a wholesome meal together.
